Hey all! Anthony here!
Today is the start of the first ever ‘BramJam’ Game Jam! These jams will happen every few months, and will have varying themes. Before I get into this, I’d like to mention that this is not an official Repl.it Codejam, rather something fun I’d like to try with the community.

So, without further ado, the theme is:
STICKING TOGETHER!

I’m sure you’ve heard of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, and during these trying times, it’s important to stick together, whether it be through a screen or window. I’d like to promote this idea with a game jam! Take this as figuratively or as literally as you please.

The jam will start right now and submissions will be expected by 12:00 PM CST (GMT-5) on June 3rd, 2020.

The judges are:
Your’s truly (@bramley) - I’m hosting the thing
@mreconomical - Creator of so many things idk where to start
@eekboi - Popular creator on Repl Talk, basically besties with Amjad
@lilykhan - 2nd place winner of 9th Repl.it Codejam and 1st place of 10th
@pieromqwerty - Creator of piero.css, StoryBored

Your submission will be judged upon 5 main criteria, worth a maximum of 5 points each.

  1. Theme-matchability
  2. Creativity
  3. Entertainment
  4. Replay Value
  5. Code Cleanliness

Now, onto the fun part, prizes!
1st Place: Any one of these Packt Kindle e-books under 30 USD (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=packt&i=digital-text&ref=nb_sb_noss_1) or Raspberry Pi Zero W or 200GB SanDisk microSD Card and a .com domain
2nd Place: Any one of the Packt e-books $25 or under or 128GB SanDisk microSD Card
3rd Place: 32GB SanDisk microSD Card

I hope you’re as excited as I am! Please note that all languages are accepted. I’m also sorry if the prizes are a bit lame. After all, the BJGJ doesn’t have funds like Repl.it.

When submitting, either DM me on Discord (@bruhmley#2873), on Twitter (@bruhmley), or use #BJGJ when posting on Repl Talk.

Have fun!

P.S. Ignore the repl lmao
EDIT: People on the Repl.it Discord server (https://repl.it/discord) have been asking if they can use Unreal Engine or Unity. As long as you can get it functioning on repl.it, it's all good. I'm pretty sure you can get Unreal running with emscripten in HTML so that'd be OK. If I have to download your game it's automatically disqualified.
