Coronavirus

We know this has impacted us, and scammers are taking advantage of this time. So, I want to give you a close-to-reliable source to use! You can look at every country and the graph of progression. We are over 10 times worse that China, who has limited their cases to about 90k, whereas our 1.1 Million. Look at this, then think about what you might be doing wrong.

let me know what you think below!

I suggest adding some metatdata. This site is very plain. It needs a bit more styling and you overloaded the site with unnecessary div tags. Try using <span> elements all over in order to make it a lot better for styling vs using a lot of divs. Additonally, it will make your code look better and more discoverable if you do this and remove unecessary whitespace from the attributes. For example, you put:

<h6 id = "country-cases">Select a Country</h6>

Try removing whitespace before and after the attribute. I know this is minor, but the best programmers make sure to do this.

RohilPatel (1178)

The divs are needed because I'm using a library. I didn't want to worry about css. That's why there are so many divs for your info. Try reading the code for more info before saying stuff like that. @RayvelArjoon

RayvelArjoon (87)

@RohilPatel You don't need divs just because you are using a library. Library or not, it doesn't change the amount of divs necessary. I'm just trying to help you. I've used many libraries, but that doesn't mean you need these divs. You're also being a bit lazy if you don't want to worry about CSS and having the library do it for you.

RayvelArjoon (87)

@RohilPatel There is nothing about the metadata inclusion that interupts the use of libraries. It's always a good idea to add metadata.

I looked at all your projects, and you don't credit anything, whether it be a module or not; so you shouldn't blame him for that @RayvelArjoon

RayvelArjoon (87)

Actually, none of my projects are finshed. So why don't you wait until they are actually done because the programs itself, (which are games and require an attribution license) have credits to everything that I didn't make.

[deleted]

Good job, this would be hard to make!

xxpertHacker (388)

Where is the quote from?

xxpertHacker (388)

@RohilPatel I like how you suddenly respond to a 4-month-old question.

RohilPatel (1178)

I was simply looking at coder100s posts cuz I was bored and he makes games that I can't even begin to make. @xxpertHacker

CodingCactus (3012)

Hello @RohilPatel why would you be doing that

RohilPatel (1178)

I'm just joking! One who knows me well would know that I don't remove cycles from anyone unless they become deleted. Sorry for the confusion there. @CodingCactus

RohilPatel (1178)

He deserves his cycles more than me, and there was a weird time, where he and I didn't do well since one other kid bullied us, and he fell for it. So yeah it was dumb, but i think it would be cool if he reached 10k cycles...or even more! @CodingCactus

RayvelArjoon (87)

Dude, you need to take this down before you get copyright sued! The code from this is sourced from somewhere else. I suggest you check whos code you are using and who you are working with, because this may be acceidental cyber crime. This code used is not open sourced and is not under a CC attribution. Make sure you check these things before copying a tutorial or finding someone elses code.

xxpertHacker (388)

@RayvelArjoon Do you know's code that this is?

RohilPatel (1178)

This code is completely mine, except for the api. @StudentFires

xxpertHacker (388)

@RohilPatel Then give credit to the Api used!

CSharpIsGud (578)

@StudentFires @RayvelArjoon How many python users give credit when they use a package or api? Even if it is copyright infringement noone would care to go through a legal process against a small hobby website that has no chance of going profitable

xxpertHacker (388)

@CSharpIsGud Oh, I meant just say "With credit to: ..., for creating the API used in my website." Not going through a whole legal process. That's what I do.

CSharpIsGud (578)

@StudentFires The api basically is the website, all he does is graph the data and show it to you prettified

RohilPatel (1178)

Yeah, it is like promoting the api in a sense @CSharpIsGud

chippycoder08 (16)

Wow. This is helpful! Does it auto-update?

This is very good! Me like!

ZacPlayz (64)

can I fork it to look at it when I need it to not search in the posts?

RohilPatel (1178)

If you link this original copy and give credit somewhere, yea sure @ZacPlayz

RayvelArjoon (87)

@ZacPlayz This isn't an orignal copy. It's been plagiarized. Don't trust Rohil

TheDrone7 (1326)

@RayvelArjoon what exactly is plagiarized? Could you send a link to the original source?

RohilPatel (1178)

Absolutely nothing is plagiarized. I used an api to get my results, so I don't know why he is fussing. @TheDrone7

ZacPlayz (64)

I use Worldometer but this is way better cuz u can actually select the country I love it imma vote up thx dude its good for people to know what's going on in this world.

Good Job
RohilPatel (1178)

Yay! Actually, United States is just US. @ZacPlayz

DynamicSquid (3561)

I'm just hoping this would end before summer starts. Summer is the best time for a student!

RohilPatel (1178)

I totally agree with you! Although sadly, it might not happen. All we can hope for is the heat to do its thing @DynamicSquid

DynamicSquid (3561)

@RohilPatel yeah. however where I live it is slowing down. still unsure if it means anything or not....

xxpertHacker (388)

@DynamicSquid

I'm afraid that your goals won't be realized for possibly... years?
Unless a vaccine is created this virus will become recurrent.
And just because a vaccine is created doesn't mean it'll be openly available, everyone will get their hands on it, or that it will be cheap.

xxpertHacker (388)

@RohilPatel What? I'm just sayin facts.
